It looks like Soulstones are used to unlock heros.
I PUT ALL OF THE “ALL HERO” UPGRADES AT THE BOTTOM. All f2p heros have 2 “all hero” upgrades, which are the second and last (7th) stat unlock. For the first upgrade, you need 20 cookies and 1000 gold for unlock the stats (not sure after that).
It looks like the cookies are the evolution chips. Ophelia is $10, not entirely sure how to unlock her through soulstones (maybe get lucky with the Random Shards?).
